The experience to get it right.

What ever your project, we’ll take the time to understand exactly what’s required.

Accredited and registered for your safety

PC Doney Electrics were one of the first NICEIC approved contractors in Cornwall. All electrical contractors registered with the NICEIC are assessed on a regular basis with the aim to protect people from unsafe electrical installations.

NICEIC Approved Contractor

The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) is one of the UK’s regulatory organisations. They regulate both the training and work of electrical contractors, PC Doney Electrics has been registered with them for over 50 years. Each year we undergo a day long assessment where we are checked for safety and compliance across our work and procedures in order to achieve the approved status.

NICEIC Approved Domestic Installer

As an approved NICEIC Domestic Installer, we are able to carry out electrical installations and work within domestic properties. It is important to use a Domestic Installer to comply with the requirements of Part P. To comply with the registration, we are required to have suitable insurance, suitable test equipment (that is maintained appropriately), hold current editions of relevant BS standards and technical documentation and carry out risk assessments.

Electrical Safety Register / Registered Competent Person

Electricians and contractors found on the Electrical Safety Register (more recently the Registered Competent Person Register) will have undergone assessment and approval via a Government-approved scheme. They will therefore be working to BS 7671 (British electrical safety standards) and will have met required qualifications, skill and knowledge policies.

CHAS - Health and Safety Accreditation

PC Doney Electrics is CHAS accredited. CHAS is the UK’s leading health & safety accreditation scheme for contractors, ensuring that our policies and procedures are up to date and comply with current legislation.
