Helping To Usher In An Electric Future

The UK government hope to stop the sales of all new, non-electric cars from 2035. So the demand for electric vehicles is growing fast. Designers and manufacturers are faced with all sorts of challenges to ensure that electric cars are as convenient, reliable & affordable and offer the same performance as petrol and diesel vehicles.

One of the issues we face is the need for more public charging points beside motorways and main roads to allow for longer distance travel. The Tamar Bridge commissioned PC Doney Electrics to install their first Rolec EV charging points within the Bridge’s customer carpark. The Bridge carries over 16 million vehicles each year, so the new charging points should mean that a few more of these vehicles are now electric.
